Well, I have gotten a little bored around here lately, so I decided to find a couple of screenshots and see what I could do to make them look "vintage".  Here's a couple of the Wright Flyer I found while searching.

What do you people think?

Excellent, but just a little constructive critisism: Try making the pics a little more "speckly", and don't put so much blur on. A very small amount more red in the pic wouldn't go amiss. Also, there is not quite enough contrast in the first one.

Hope that helps a bit Ender,

1)I added noise to it
2)turned up the red, and blue
3)I turned up the contrast

I also wanted to make a crumpled and torn effect, but I couldnt find out how to do it (I have only had adobe for about a week and a hald so far )

LOL, I havnt seen that one yet, you must have gone back quite a ways?

That's more like it Michael, well done. Ender, if you compare that with yours, you will see slightly more noise/speckles & less green/blue.

Brilliant editing both of you, well done Wink

I'll have to have a go at this Grin Grin

I just did a search for the Wright Flyer and hoped for the best.  Got several images, but these two are the best.  I can't remember the author, so if anyone wants to lay claim to them, they are welcome to it.

I just want to see how out editing skills match up:

That's pretty good!  What did you do, and with what program?

I've been using PSP 8.0 recently, but it just doesn't make a good edited shot.

Thanks Ender Wink

I used Photoshop 7 to add a little bit of speckle and increase the amount of red in the image. PSP 8 should be able to do the same sort of thing if you know how. I, unfortunately, don't, so you will have to find it out Roll Eyes

Do you mean the one with the Spit and the Stang?  If so, thank you.  I spent about ten minutes on it, and I personally think it is very nice.
