Anybody out there using this ATI card? What is your thoughts on it? I have one now and really thought my framerate would increase but it has not. I have tried both drivers from Ati 3.10 and Omega same version with little increase. My system is a P4 1.7ghz 512 ram. Frame rates pretty much seem the same wheather i bump settings up or down for FS9. They stay at 10-11 sitting still and about 17-20 flying. My old card was a Radeon 64MB card with setting Med Low I had slightly better FPS. Any advice?

you should switch the vertical synchronisation off, that gives you a slightly better framerate.

Worked from 3:30 to 8:30 this morning installing a new 9600 xt card (had to finally download and install dreivers from ATI as they would not install from the included CD). So far am still playing with it, however, the big difference to me is the graphics quality (replaced a GeForece 4 MMX 440, 128 mb). Am happy with the 30 fps in 2K2 and now have very good graphics quality. For FS9, I bumped the locked fps to 24, which the card holds very well, again with a large (to me) graphics improvement. The only change I've made to standard settings in the card (so far) was to move the 3D quality setting one notch to the right. Have a bit more RAM than your specs, which might be helping somewhat...regards,
Terry
