Has anyone heard about this movie yet?  I saw the previews with 'The Return of the King' tonight and it looks incredible!  It's a futuristic, Flash Gordon, 50's kind of serial movie done with today's special effects, but is set in the 40's.  The previews show a P-40 dogfighting with some incredibly wild looking robots and it looks like a good portion of the movie is spent in a Warhawk.  Very Promising!

Sorry to be bringing up old topics, but has anyone seen the trailers for this movie?  I just watched this one:

LISTEN TO THE MUSIC.  I'll give a great Geek Award to anyone who can tell me where its from.

Exactly!  Did they think no one would notice? ???  Seems a bit audaciuos to assume that no fan of the series would go see something like this.  What were they thinking? Roll Eyes

Perhaps they purchased the rights to the song?

Movie trailers have a habit of taking music from anywhere and using them to make their movie sound good.  If the trailer gets you hooked, well little things like music consistency is no big deal to them.  It doesn't mean that music will be in the film.

Steve-O, what happened to Stalin?  Cheesy

Let's just say the might of the Vancouver Canucks was too powerful.
Even for the great Stalin himself!

Okay, I like the premise of this movie, but it really irks me that they couldn't come up with any better music than that taken (read: stolen) from Stargate: SG-1.

I could have chosen so many other strings of music to accompany that teaser, but they chose to include something from a TV SERIES! ???

Has anyone ever tried to use the Star Trek theme?  Fopr me, its the same thing.  That music immediately made me wary of seeing this film in the theaters, and I wonder if anyone else feels this way . . .
