I have alot of hidden cookies, and I want to delete some of them. . . . IE: I have a 800 meg file in there, I dont know what it is, BUT I WANT IT GONE!   lol

Ok, so is there any ideas on how to do this, or is a 800 MB cookies folder normal

Thanks in advance!

When you say "hidden" cookies does this mean you can't delete them from IE/Tools/Internet Options?

You could try the free AdAware which will get rid of Spyware cookies. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
Alternatively try the free trial WindowWasher. That should remove the lot & also free up a lot of HD space you didn't think possible. http://www.webroot.com/wb/products/windowwasher/index.php

I think he might be refering to the Documents and settings folder. In each users folder there is one called "cookies"
In mine the folder is only 83kb, 800mb is allot of cookies!! gonna need some milk to wash them down!! Smiley
I never tried the programs Hagar mentioned but I will.
Usually when I'm done "browsing" I clear all stored cookies, I don't ever use IE (reasons explained in other posts) but in Netscape it is easy, there is a "cookie manager" where you can remove all cookies or save certain one that you want.
I also notice that Netscape doesn't keep a folder on your harddrive like IE, thus another reason I don't use IE!! A web browser shouldn't put anything on your HD without approval.
But that is M$ for ya!

Makes me wonder how a file that large can be installed without you knowing?
Is it possible that it came as part of a software program  that was installed via cd?
Just curious:)
