I'm having so many strange experiences lately with FS9 that I thought that it would be better if I started to count and number them Cheesy

Here you go, in case you've missed them:

Now today as I was ready to get on with my trip round the world, FS9 just played another trick on me Roll Eyes

Taxiing at Kabul, everything looking normal:

Take off... oops what the hell is happening there? Shocked

It looks scary from the cockpit, we have clearance to go back to Kabul airport on an emergency landing Shocked

Turning and leaving smoke behind, we'll be down in a few minutes... hopefully.

Touchdown. The spoilers didn't open but we managed to stop it safely, evacuate all the passengers and wait for the afghani fire dept to do their job.

I don't what else to expect, be afraid, be very afraid Wink

Lol, same thing happened to me with a 737, kinda. I took off from KLAX, but my forward gear got damaged for somereason on takeoff and wouldn't lift. Had to go around and make an emergency landing when my nose gear collapsed, had to evacuate all the passengers, no fire tho, luckily. (I'll be posting pics of it soon)

Dude you have some of the wierdest luck in your simulation! Are you experimenting with stuff!

The weirdest mishap happened to me because I added a third party addon called Jumbo Jet from FS2002. Everytime I tried to take off, one of my engines would shut down causing the aircraft to shift to one direction. Talk about slamming on your breaks at the edge of the runway and just missing landing into the water (at Laguardia). Up to today I still don't know what went wrong but I blame it on that addon. Haven't had any real scary moments in FS9 yet. Though the autopilot when left alone scares me when I come back and see my plane in a stall with 58 knots of speed Shocked

(or KIAS).

Will be sure to share any mishaps I have! Does attempting to land on a carrier count! I once made a sweet approach, perfect landing, Then the arrestor cable snapped Shocked

and my plane went right over the edge of the deck and into the ocean! That wasn't pretty a sight I tell you Undecided

! $38 Million dollar plane destroyed because a $2,000.00 cable couldn't stop it!

Ok now you jinxed me! This isn't much cause for alarm. But tonight I learned why we are suppose to read the READ ME files included with these downloads. Because I didn't do this, the following letter had to be sent to the families of these poor unfortunate ground crew men at Mc.Guire AFB.

To the Family of....

We regretfully have to inform you that your son died in the line of duty today, because some idiot Undecided

forgot to read the "READ ME" file in his hand book before starting up an experimental aircraft. His untimely compliance resulted in the death of your son by way of freindly fire because he didn't know how to shut off the guns on his F3 Tornado once he started up the engines!

But I do have some good news to report.. Today I saved a ton of cash by switching to GEICO Grin

OK after a bit of shut eye. I tried to resolve the problem with the cannon always firing on the Tornado. With no success, the read me file says that the (F12) key activates the cannon and shuts it down. LIES Angry

I couldn't figure it out so I just trashed the DSBcannon FX file, so hopefully now no cannon file. No Cannon Firing! Grin

All the grounds crew, pigeons, and fellow aviators can breathe a sigh of releif that I won't be accidently shooting down anyone anytime soon Cheesy

JUST IN.... Residents of NY city will now be paying $10.25 for an adult ticket at the theatres. Then they want to know why people flock to buy bootleg DVD's and video tapes. Politicans can be so stupid and think they know it all!

For me it's getting tired of taking off in a 90mph cross wind (From the right) on EVERY flight (morning, day and at night) in EVERY Aircraft (From the tinyist Cessna to the Big Boeings) at EVERY airport (Ok from Denver to Alaska).

Well, except helocopters, then it's from the right. I don't think it's odd. I just thing it ghosts in the program that are writtn off as "realism".

It worked, the dumping of the FX file has now corrected the firing cannon issue and everyone is safe now. Mishap corrected. Now what is he to do if he comes underattck by an enemy. FLY FAR AWAY and let em have a rocket!
