Has anyone encountered an annoying pop-up accessing the downloads pages? This pop-up refers to a adware/spyware removal software. Even with a pop-up stopper, this still gets through.

I have also encountered it, and it went through my Firewall. This one is bad it is more than a pop-up but actually Spyware itself as it access your computer directly.
I do not plan to return to Simviation untill I get word this has been taken care of.

Gentlemen - none of you have provided any information I can use to determine the root of this problem.
We have a 'no spyware' policy & only use popunder ads (no pop up) . & only one pop under per visit. Any other ads can only be coming from a 3rd party advertiser & this is not supposed to happen.
The 'Downloads' & 'Search' page does not contain pop under code. I have refreshed the 'Downloads' page 20 times without seeing any pop under or pop up. . I also use this site & cannot find any spyware. I'm not saying it's not there as ads are location specific but I need ad info if I am to trace who is behind this.
Any ads you are reporting are not supposed to be here & are against site policy.
I have not experienced these ads & cannot do anything without knowing the advertiser.
Meanwhile I apologise for these problems! They should never have happened.

OK - I have found an ad for spyware removal - from webroot.com - & I have removed this ad as a matter of precaution. However no popups - nor was spyware reported by adaware on my system. So maybe this is not the one.... My system has reported no spyware...
I will add that webroot.com also advertises on CNet , Tucows & ZDNet ....

Ya it's the one that resets your homepage and then once you get on the WWW again it all starts over cause you're on that site. It opens crap like Notepad and says "If you can read this in notepad, your computer is infected! Download Spycheck or Adaware or something now!"
Thne pops up a screen that fills your whole screen, even the task bar and start button and all that, and all it has is "Your computer IS infected! I strongly reccomend this link" which you dont have a choice to click, it's the only thing on there. Task manager does not show the last item. Click it and close Internet Explorer after chaging your homepage.

I do not know if this will help but I was deep inside teh CFS2 Aircraft section when it occurred. Somewhere in the 50's or 60's but I'm not sure which page it was on.
Adaware did not find anything on my sytem except for a cookie. I'm not sure what site it is from but there are only 4 that I had visited at the time and none of them have had spyware cookies in the past. Same goes for my anti-virus, it came p clean too. I'll try digging in the CFS2 downloads section later to see what I can turn up.

All the pages carry the same top banner code. You won't find anything in any section different from the any other page.
The only pages that contain additional code are : Menu, Search & Downloads - which contain a side tower ad from another agency - & it is this I removed.
This rogue ad must have crept in as an error on the part of that 2nd agency as I carefully check all ad agencies for their determination to avoid all intrusive advertising.
Please let me know if further intrusions are experienced,
- It could be that the code I removed is not the culprit.....
Thanks for the feedback.

I experienced the same popup today. Annoying as can be. Even opened all of my cd drives. I hope I blocked it successfully.
