The 46th Design Team in pleased to announce the release of our tribute package to WWII Ace, Col. Glen E. Duncan. The self installing package includes three stand-alone airplanes and a set of 9 missions.

The missions that 46th_Irish has contributed to this project will guide you through Col. Duncan’s wartime adventures.  As you fly them in order, you will go from his first kill though becoming an Ace flying his fourth combat aircraft, the P-47D-5 he was flying when he took command of the 353rd Fighter Squadron.  This was the last of his airplanes to bear Flying Death markings and the first to bear Dove or Peace.  Then, from D-day up until he was shot down over Germany, you will fly the P-47D-22 Dove of Peace VII.  At this time Col. Duncan was the leading Ace in the ETO with 19.5 confirmed kills.  46th_PBMay has depicted this airplane as it look the day he took off for his final combat mission – well used and tired.  The final few missions are “what if” missions utilizing his last, and ironically his most famous, airplane, the P-51D Dove of Peace VIII.  Although Col. Duncan never flew this airplane in actually combat, it was the most photographed of all his airplanes.

As an additional bonus, you will find in the 46th-Designs folder inside your main CFS3 directory, utilities to change the paint skins of the stock P-51D and P-47D to represent the DOP 4, 7 & 8. There is also a short biography of Col. Duncan in a PDF file in that same location.
