Hi,

Merry Christmas to all of you !

A couple of funny things I've found in FS 2002.

1) I am still not able to land if the visibility is nearly zero. Oh well, I can land but not in the runway.... I is very interest to note, when you operate the ATC, how the voice of the pilot stay "SO CALM" even if you are going to crash !!! Grin

2) I try, with my ASUS L3 notebook (the most powerful version of L3) to bump up resolution and graphic effects and I got a limit in 800x600x32, beginning to decrease my frame rate from 25 fps to about 10 fps. I try to set 1024x768x32 with the same number of effects, just to see how nice it could be and... the framerate is back to 25 fps, and the game (the panel of the aircraft, the GPS etc.) are faster and fluider than ever !! (here need a double Grin Grin).

Bye, best wishes to you !

Merry x-mas to you too!
Well, landing in poor visibility is always a task, landing in near ZERO visibility is crazy tough sometimes when the crosswind/gusts are rough. But remember that most airliners are autoland capable. When configured properly, the aircraft will follow the glideslope and Localizer by itself and even land automaticly.
Ironic enough, I just wrote a post regarding autlands in the CoF forums

I read your post now, I'm sure it can help.

I DID IT !!!!! Grin Grin Grin

Land to Venice in ILS approach (half manual/half automatic...).

<<<WEATHER>>>:
Visibility minimum (which is 0.1 km), thunderstorm, heavy rain, moderate winds from the NE (a little bit cross to the runway, from the right), moderate icing.

The airplane was the 737, I tried also with the 777 but a savage gust take me to a trip on the lagoon... Grin
