Well, once again I am sick.  I seem a magnet for every cold, flu or pnuemonia that comes along.  This time it's the Flu.  I spent the most of the day under covers, emerging only to do the 'technicolor yawn' if you get my drift.  But right now, I swear to god a kitten could beat the crap out of me.  My hand shakes just to hold it up and I have to breath hard when I lie down.  Typing these words is even a effort.  I know that 'driving the porcelain bus' can take a lot out of you, but not like this.  I have to stop occasionally to rest my head; I'm so weak. It's taken me a good ten minutes to write this.

So what exactly is it that makes you so weak when sick?

Well, I am by no means a health expert, but I do know this. People are weak, because the immune system takes the majority of your energy, so, it can keep you from (in theory) getting worse. But, yea, it sucks to be sick. I hope you feel better soon Kevin.

Sounds like you got a good dose of the flu Kevin.

Hope you are not burning the candle at both ends as that won't help.

Try ginger and hotmilk....go to bed and pull covers over head Smiley.

Forget computers, telephones, Christmas shopping etc for at least 24 hours.

We all want to see you up and healthy for Christmas.

Ya, the U.S, the flu has swept like crazy over everybody.
Sorry if you knew that, not sure how international this thing is.
Anyways, I HAD a slight case of it not to long ago. It totally brings you down, i took alot of nightquil, and it helped a bunch. Hopefully, you get over it too.

It must have something to do with having two toddlers around.  Before the babies, I would catch maybe one cold per year at most.  Now it seems like every other month, I'm sick.  We spent the early morning of the 17th in the ER with Olivia, because she had the same symptoms.  Bad way for her to spend her birthday...  Roll Eyes

Sorry to hear you're crook mate. If it helps at all, most of Australia is, has been or will have the same flu virus that's knocking people down all over the place.

Hope you feel better shortly.  Grin Wink
