Am having a problem logging in.

When I logout I set my cookies to blocked.

Reset them to Accept prior to logging in.

Sometimes it will take an hour to get logged in.

Sometimes it will say logout at the top but when I try to access a forum I get...an error has occured..to post you must be logged in if you don't have an account yet register.

I do all the proper maintenance and 70% free.

Thanks....Cheers......Doug

I really don't know ...

What you are doing which I would guess is unusual is disabling cookies on logout.

I never disable cookies (& never have any reason to that I can see..) & never log out. When I access the forums I'm already logged in.. It would be a deterrent for me if it was any other way ..  8)

Hmmm, yeah, I never logout either Doug, when I leave I just close the window using the x button up in the upper right hand corner of the window, whenever I come back, and I click on the forums link at the main SimV page, Im logged in without dong a thing.

But I have cookies enabled, and also I have windows to remember my password, so when ever I come here I just click on the link at the main page as I said, and thats all. Next thing that happens once I click the forums link is that im here, and logged in.
usually takes all of 3 seconds.

Also one other thing is that I never delete cookies, and uhhh hmmm my privacy settings are at medium in the internet options

Cookies as i understand them are a way that websites know who you are, and makes things alot quicker when returning to the sites that you have cookies from.

Smileyokay thanks Chuck

Will go back and re-set cookies to medium...I am running xp so that should be there.  Right now I have the setting at the lowest it will go....accept all cookies.

Will try to reset the password to remain logged in at all times.

Will see if that works....this has been a pain logging in lately!!!!! I keep this thing clean and defragged sometimes three times a week.

Thanks.....Cheers....Doug
