I took these shots last Friday when we had the big snow storm over here on the North East Coast. Here is A Delta L10-11 trying to get out, (along with every one else), before Boston's Logan Airport is shut down. It was real time weather!

Completed push back and it is time to get out of here!
...

Passing Logan's tower, the snow starts to fall harder.
...

Rolling slowly through the snow, we double check our settings.
...

The tower clears us for take off. Glad we de-iced!!
...

Rotation.
...

The huge jet pulls itself from the ground as we fly into the uncertain darkness......
...

Hope you liked. Return trip coming soon!!!

*sniff*
Those TriStars are just so beautiful, and it makes me really sad to see them becoming fewer as the years go by. Delta was one of the major operators of the L1011, retired their fleet in 2001 I think...now most of them are just sitting in the californian desert  Sad

Great choice of an aircraft Dave, looks like an older model (has the 90 degree angle on the "pylon" below no2 engine intake, Lockheed later made the shape more aerodynamic)

More shots of these birds are higly appreciated Dave!!!

Very nice shots!

I like what you did to the background, makes 'em extra special.

Great shots Dave!

I must agree with Silent though... No we please because I don't know how good of a pilot you are, I don't want to be on an airplane I shouldn't be!

lol j/k  Wink

It kinda reminds me of the movie Airplane(1 and 2).
