It is a cold December morning at Peconic River Bay on Long Island. Today is when I get to fly this big, beautiful blimp over to Manhattan for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Rockefeller center! The weather is looking good as I start to slowly leave the ground.

...

Getting out of here is an event in itself. I need to be careful of the surrounding pine trees! One wrong move and this big bird will be all over the place!
...

I gently feather the controls while the big balloon heads skyward. For the locals, this is a great event to see such a tremendous airship leave this little airstrip!
...

After floating Westward over Long Island for nearly an hour, I see Manhattan's lights. The winds are light and it is a beautiful sight. I am on time and on course. Wait till they see my beautiful airship!
...

As I float over central Park, the city below is alive with the festivities of the season. There is Rockefeller Center just up ahead! The ground crew radios to me that the Tree is about to be lit!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL MY FREINDS AROUND THE WORLD!!
MAY YOU ALL HAVE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!
