Here are a few shots of a 757 on approach to New York's JFK!
In the distance, a 757 is lining herself up to land while a soft snow starts to fall.
Behind the approaching jet, New York's Empire State Building looks on.
A gusty wind is keeping the pilot on his toes while trying to keep this bird on her course.
With Manhattan in the distance, the setting is perfect.
In just a few seconds, we will be on the ground. Thanks for watching!!

Now thats what i call cool shots! Amazing man, what a view.
I love the 1e and 4th.
Where did you find those WTC-towers, or do you have to turn the time before 9/11?

Love the 4th shot but I find it a little creepy to see the WTC in the background.

Nice shots, nice approach...wish I had seen you smoke her on though. (nice to see a 2 pointer with a little smoke lingering off the runway on touchdown)
Something you don't see very often with choppers

I know what you mean Savas. You may not know this because it has not been brought up since you joined, but I lost two freinds in the attacks on 9-11. I inserted them into my sim as a rememberence. 9-11 for me had a true impact in my life. Sometimes flying around them brings some sort of closure. I actually like to see them there, it is comforting.
I also shot photos for a firm at ground zero the week after. Click here:

Sorry for your loss Dave. I know in such tragic events even the little things like two pixellated buildings in a flight sim help those of us that grieve or remember the days before the event.
Just whenever I see the majestic buildings in pictures or in this case a sim shot, I cannot help but rmemeber everything that happened that day. Not a bad thing mind you as we should never forget, its just like a small jolt back to reality.
I also saw the ground zero pictures when I came here, and was amazed at them. The destruction a few crazed lunatics can cause is mind boggling
May we never forget!

Thanks Savas. To be honest, I was alittle surprised when I flew this sequence the other night. They popped up in front of me and it was a bit "freaky" to me also.

Well, it just shows how many peoples lives are affected by that tragedy. I hope you'll forgive my perhaps hurtfull question about the towers, Fly2e.
I tend to forget that a lot of people around here are American. Even I as a European will never forget that day nor the place I was when i heard the news. The images still make me very quite.
