It is sad, and my thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the pilots.
It seems to be the same for all countries, incedents like this happen all the time during practice or manuvers and not in combat.

Very sad news. I hope they don't have to contribute it to pilot error. I hate it when that turns out to be the cause. Sad

But i must say, i am sure i have heard of quite a few incidents with the F-16's that have been caused by close formation or close fly passes. Maybe its the fact its such an unstable aircraft thats causing these things to happen, i mean even the smallest maneuver would mean quite a change in altitude and or direction, and with inexperienced that could be the main factor. Then again maybe i am wrong and its just really bad luck on the part of the F16

Sad but true it will probably be called "Pilot error" just because Governments don't like to admit there might be something wrong with some of the equipment that is used.
It is so much easier to put blame on a human than telling taxpayers that "We are spending your money on stuff we know has problems".
This holds true for anything not just aircraft.

if it was just one country then maybe plane error could be blamed. But its been a few countrys including the US so unless no-one has checked the planes gota be pilot error in there somewhere.
As for the thunderbird pilots, they are not standard pilots remember, prob the best of the best

most likely pilot error in this case. the planes crashed head on so there weren't any technical failures.
