Hello.

I have recently added some ships to my CFS2. Is there a way to add names to the list of ships that comes with the type or CFS2?

For example: Ark Royal or Argus (neither of these names are in the list provided).

Sincerely,

Andre

Right, heres what you do.

Go to your main CFS2 directory and go into the folder named INFO. Open the file called callsign.dat in notepad and scroll down intill you find a bit called #British Carriers.

Then add the following lines to the bottom of the list:
Ark Royal,1,5,13
Argus,1,5,13

Then save it. You should now be able to use those carrier names in the sim. If you want to add more carrier names then simply type them as follows *name*,1,5,13
remember to replace the *name* bit with the carrier name of your choice. Good luck! Wink

Your welcome!

I have absolutly no idea what the numbers mean. I've never tried changing them. They work as they are and as the saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Grin

The first number is the nationality ( the number matches the numbers in your country.cfg file).  The second number is the Unit Family and the third number is the Category.
