Well,..............I bit the bullet and bought it, and what a nice piece of work it is! 8)
It put's the USS George Washington CVN 73 in four locations; Gulf of mexico, Bay of Biscay, the Persian Gulf, & the Sea of Japan.
It includes 6 aircraft; The F-14 Tomcat, F-18 Hornet, E-2C Hawkeye, CH-46 Seaknight, AV-8B II Harrier, & S-3 Viking.
Is compatible with Fs2k2 & 2k4, and has ArrCab too! 8)
I havent yet tested the cables, but will let ya know as soon as I do, heh, I was too exited to go for a landing, besides it will take alot of practice approaches before I even dream of puttin the wheels on that deck.

sweet looking, but does the ship actually move around or is it stationary in one location?
(other thah the fact they used the same carrier for 4 locations across the globe)

Rodger that Pete, yeah,...................Im lovin it,..........big time!
The arrestor cable program so far is working, I know the catapult does,.........that was cool!!
Heh, heh, but as yet i havent been able to get her on the deck to test the cable catch. But Im confident it does, I just got to get a grip on the approach.
I allmost made it on this one but again was too high as you can see. Also note the operational FLOLS(Fresnel Lens Optical Landing System) in this shot of me overshooting( again
)
I'll get it yet, I had her lined up good this time, but was just too chicken

I may get it but I gave myself a sort of personal ban on all abacus products because I have been very dissappointed the last few times I bought from them.

Yeah Flyboy, eh, heh, I'd been passing it up for a month for the same reason. But I didn't have anything better to do with the 30 bucks it cost, so this time out to the store, so I went for it.
I gotta admit I've got some other Abacus stuff as well and wasnt impressed, but this one,........well you bet im happy with it.
Thanks for the comments friends, and here's a few more.
Heh, I gotta try driving around down here with one of my vehicles.
Early morning, sea of Japan,(sorry it's so dark)
heh, this guy was too interested in watching the cameraman to notice me taking off.
See ya....................
Later guy's gotta get back to work.

I got Flight Deck 3 too, But I don't it is compatible with FS2004. Abacus states that you have to purchase a upgrade disk from them that makes it compatible with Fs2004.
Can you please let me know if this is a true statement or just be like Danny DeVito in the Direct TV commercial and just say "LIES I tell you it works just fine in FS2004 and I didn't need any stinking upgrade disk".
Because I am about to get paid next week and I am thinking about buying that disk!
Its only in your mind, strong mind, strong soul and nobody can take that from you!

almost forgot to ask
!
How did you get below the deck to explore the hull of the carrier?
How did you get the traffic and people on the flight deck?
Iask because I have been trying to figure that out when I used the program in FS2002 and I never got it to work for me!

Hey Mav, thanks for stoppin by.
All these shots are from Fs2004, now the Flight Deck III that I bought had a sticker on the box that said it worked for Fs2004. The box said for 2002, so Im assuming that the ver. I purchased is the 2002 verwith conversions to make it compatible in 2004.
And it is, in fact for both 2k2 & 2k4, the install dialog box had two buttons, one for 2002 & one for 2004 which ever one you had you'd just click the appropriate button.
As for getting to the lower deck, I slewed to get there.
As for the hands on deck, I didnt do anything they were there already, and are static.( dont move around, I wish they did, that would be cool.) And they may be something new for 2k4, I dont know,.....I never had the 2k2 ver.
Have fun Mav,....................Chuck. 8)

Thanks Chuck
Though when I purchased mine it said created for Fs2002 and didn't have that playable with Fs2004 sticker on it. So I think I might have to cough up that extra $20 to get the upgrade disk.
I just purchased it October and got a new computer and played Fs2004 on it and now I am stucky!
Well I will try it anyhow and see what happens! Thanks for replying!
