this will probably be the last update,
because today, the final details were added to the cockpit and external model...
so the 3d model is finished
now the model will go the guys at Project Skyworks who will make the textures, flight dynamics and get it ready for FS
hopefully it'll come out right in time for xmas
sunday i'll be heading out for a 2 month trip to europe, so i'm glad i managed to finish it before i go...
in the past 2 weeks i've worked on the model 10 hours a day, everyday. and now it's finnaly complete.
take a look
those are not the final textures, they're just markers for the position of gauges
new thrust revesrsers and inner slats
enjoy!

Amazing looking moach! How much of the VC will be functional? I guess quite a lot. Have you added gauges or are you leaving that to the finishing team?
Impressive looking work!

How the h377 [in real life] do the pilots ever get off those seats in the middle of a flight? You know, when they have the need to go to the restroom.
Judging from the size of that cockpit, it doesn't seem possible to just roll back those seats.
I have already started on the cockpit of the CRJ-700 for PSW. It's not going to be THAT detailed like the one you made for your 737, but at least it's going to be more above average for a freeware project.
BTW, Moach.
Judging from those pics you have just provided, it seems that you have gotten your hands on some diagrams or extremely-detailed 3-view images.
Where did you get those?

the seats do roll back a bit, but i guess it can't be easy to get out of those seats
about the gauges, no, i haven't added them, that will be up to the PSW designer. i think it'll use default 777 gauges (which i discovered, by the way, to be perfectly accurate for the 737-700)
as for the vc, i want it to be capable of full IFR so, a lot of it will be functional. i don't know if the knobs and switches will work though
and about the 3 view, the one i had was actually very inaccurate, but i went through A LOT of pictures to get the details right. it's amazing how much information you can find about the 737 on the net
now the model is in the hands of project skyworks, who will finish the work for me since i won't be around my beloved computer for the next 2 months (trip to europe)
i know they'll do a great job texturing and adding gauges and flight dynamics, so i think when i come back the model will be all ready for download
i wanna thank all of you for all the great feedback on the updates and for all the help you gave me to carry on with this project, without it, it probably wouldn't have gotten this far.

Brilliant job, Moach! Enjoy the rest on your trip.
I can see that this will become my default 737. Hope the guys at Skyworks can provide a good range of liveries, so that more people can fly it 'locally'.
My vote goes for British Airways, or Virgin Express!

Good luck. I hope Project Skyworks does a better job then they did with their own B717. They have alot of talent but get caught up in alot of childish things that affects their output. Some of them are only teenagers trying to act alot older. They have promised a custom cockpit with VC and custom sound and none of that is delivered with the B717. The "custom sounds" are the standard Microsoft sounds that come with FS09 and the B717 uses the default B737-400 cockpit. They present a aircraft.cfg and B717.air that are direct copies of the default B737.
So good luck. I hope they do a better job.

Well, I have been chit-chatting with the members of PSW.
One of them is around 11 years old. I'm surprised to see that people that young have good talent.
I'm 19 and I only started 3D modeling when I was around 17 or when FS2002pro came out.
Whenever I make custom flight dynamics, I would always the Flight Model Workbook from
www.avhistory.org
The workbook helps maintain realism because it has a document that tells you how certain parts of the aircraft is measured.

To be honest, there are very few aircraft I've downloaded, that have anything like the original flight dynamics that they were supplied with, as I've customised and replaced where necessary. Some dynamics are certainly better than others (even with the same type of plane), and often, it's mix-and-match by the pilot (that's you!) to get it how you want it.
Whole package deals are rarely great from all perspectives, same as with hi-fis. You can get better sound if you mix and match components to your requirements, and the open architecture of FS means that you can do the same here.

Found this on the Project SkyWorks forum. Someone mentioned that Moach was turning over his B737 to PSW to finish the textures, etc. the PSW reply:
"
The Boeing 737-700 isn't really an official project but no matter what, we make things high quality. We are trying to clear off the Airbus 380-100 & the Canadair CRJ-700 right now and after those two are dealt with, the 737-700 will come in handy.
"
Does not sound like they are in a hurry to finish this for Moach.

Bdenni,
I don't know what is the situation with PSW,maybe the B-712, but as we have said and Moach has known, we will finish off the CRJ-700 & the A-380 first then the B737 will be finished. If you are insisting us on the B-712, we are making a V2 and it will be done soon. Thanks.

I disagree with you that Moach knows this. The first post in this topic by Moach states
now the model will go the guys at Project Skyworks who will make the textures, flight dynamics and get it ready for FS hopefully it'll come out right in time for xmas
Moach left for two months, assuming that PSW would deliver his airplane with textures, cockpit, flight dynamics by Christmas.
I don't know what you agreed to with Moach or what he thinks PSW is doing for him and when. All I know is what he posted in this topic when he finished his portion of the airplane and turned it over to PSW.

mmm....... i dislike psw now. very much.
First: you have to know whole bunches of stuff on airplanes which i doubt most people know, like how many time the v2 broke the sound barrier and such. most people would not know this. second: they lead people who are part of psw to thinking their plane is #1 priority. that's the indication i got from moach. he thought his 737 was next off the assembly line and that psw told him that it would be done by christmas. and where is it now? ITS STILL IN PSW, probably not to be released untill next christmas! third: they don't care who they invite, because i was invited, and i have almost no designing skills! i tried to join, but they had those afore mentioned insane tests! it's crazy! i wanted to join becase i can't get my a/c converted when i like and would like to be able to, but other people can do it without me waiting a month or two, whic is what i am now led to belive will happen! sorry about my ranting, it's just i dont particularyly like psw (no offense to anyone in it) anymore
&&&&well of course! i'm trying to hit them!&&&&always fight fire with fire... because you get a bigger one!

First, there are a couple of things you need to know :
1 ) We invited you because from the many tips that you have gave in the SimV forums, we thought that you could do things well and have a very courteous temper but apparently, you don't. What you are saying right now is going into Harvard and saying their open test is very hard, well that does not make sense.
2 ) PSW did not say that the 737 will be released at Christmas, we tried but however, it did not work due to the Holidays and everything was a little delayed. If you don't know, we have made a post in the website saying that the 737 will start work after the CRJ-700 is released, which is not that far away.
Thanks.

Hi everyone...
we just got ADSL here so now i can post everyday again
long time no see, huh? good to know people still care about my plane...
i was just checking out the PSW website, and i saw that they are going to release the CRJ-700 this week, that means my plane is next.
plus i got this e-mail from james at PSW:
Hi Moach,
The 737 is coming into priority with the A-380. We are very close to releasing the CRJ-700 and after we do that, I will find the Panel Designer, Sound Technician, Flight Dynamics Specialist & Aircraft Texturer to puzzle up the 737. Thanks !
i have to admit, i was actually reconsidering whether if i should leave the project in their hands because i've been having trouble talking to them, but it seems they've been doing their work.
so there you have it, good news for everyone

Don't worry Hellhound. You're NOT the FIRST to suffer such an inconveniance.
I also did the biggest mistake by letting my old friend [no longer considered my friend] make a few posts on this site by using my computer.
I COMPLETELY forgot to SIGN OUT of my account before I let him online.
Fortunately, he didn't know that I have the wierd habit of searching through every piece of forum in this site. He thought he could get away with it. Took me a couple of days to find out about this. Since I wasn't in the mood to go online for a few days because I had a ton of homework at the time.
He slept over for a few days at the time because him and I use to live next door.
After the incident, we got into a fight and his dad punished him. We were now enemies. A year later, his dad sent him off to JROTC. At that time, I was a Cadet/ Staff Sergeant and when he came in he had NO rank.
When he first saw me there, the first thing I saw in his eyes was fear.
Oh, and yes.....he paid for his sinister act in PUSH-UPS, Mile-Runs, and so on.
Isn't revenge so sweet?

i like the look of the 737, seems like some real hard work has gone into it..
however the fact that a lovers tiff occured on the damned thread puts me off it though. cant you keep your rifts between the group? i may well speak for myself but i dont think people want to know of internal conflicts here. dont get me wrong, just my 'two cents'.
