Hey Roller Ball, do you know of an easy way or simple step on allocating parking spots.

Sorry - only just seen this.

Ahem - no. You've probably been playing with AFCAD2 longer than I have. I only poked around a bit to find out what I needed to do for KT and I've taken a bit of a rest for the last coupla days. Done a bit of sim flying for a change Wink

Didn't think it was too difficult though - what's the problem? Obviously you need to have the correct airline callsign in the cfg file but that would be there OK because it would need to match the textures of the AI anyway.

Then you just select the airline(s) that can go into each parking space in your AFCAD2 and - Bob's your uncle. Can't see how you could make it a lot quicker or easier.

And if you need to add 'extras' that aren't in your ParkingPlaces.txt file, that's easy enough as well (I added one that I called 'Privately Owned' with a code PRIV that was the only one I allowed into the Hong Kong Aviation Club - I think now after thinking about it more I should have added a specific code for the Club eg HKAC that would never be duplicated, rather than the 'general' description. Never mind)

Tell me what specifically you have in mind?

Hey great got it, problem solved thanks on the info.Airlines now go to the right spot 8)The one problem I ran into now ,I downloaded a Fedex DC-10 and Fedex MD-11 from:
Flight Simulator 2002 McDonnell-Douglas DC-10 Fed Ex

Repaint by Ross Killin & Cathy Moore (jagur777@hotmail.com).

This model is a GMAX model with great framerates, useful for AI aircraft or for personal flying. Relfective textures, all moving surfaces, stable aircraft.

I went to the Aircraft file to add in the line
atc_parking_types=Heavy Cargo
atc_parking_Codes=FDX
when I clicked on save it,I got a box that said access denied ,so now Fedex DC-10 & MD-11 still parks in with the Airlines.
Any info on this one Sad

Easy

You had the aircraft open in the sim while you were trying to save the cfg file OR you already had the file open and you opened it again, changed it and tried to save with the 1st copy still open
