I recently reinstalled FS2002. Now this problem never happened previously, but when I run it it gets to the splash screen, but then I get an error message.

"Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 has detected 3rd party software that might not be compatible with this version of Flight Simulator.

File: traffic.dll

Do you want to load this software? Clicking no will disable this softwatre."

Whether I click yes or no the screen will go black and crash to the desktop. rebooting and reinstalling and windows update won't work.

Now I humored the program by checking on traffic.dll. And sure enough it didn't get installed from anywhere except the installation cds from the box. And it has all the same dates and versions and copyrights as all the other dll files. So I dunno what crack fs2002.exe is on.

someone help me

I had the same problem a while back.  It was a windows update that caused it.  I Uninstalled the offending update and had no further problems.
