Is there any space scenery for FS2002? Is it evan Possible?

Some say my pinky toe was replaced with a fountain pen, and that I love to ride on nuclear bombs with a saddle. All I know is.... I'm called THE STIG!!!!

No. The altitude limit is 100,000 ft. There is no way to adjust it.......

What did they do for BOTA? I thought the last leg of the race was flying to the moon. If some one could point me in the direction of the website or explain how they managed flying to the moon I would appreciate it.

I also thought the altitude limit was at 100k ft.

Its 100,000 ft.

100k would be 100,000,000 meters, which is about 328,000 ft. or about 62 miles.  FS only measures to 100,000 ft.

Any higher and the landscape would warp.  Flight Simulator's world is not a sphere, but a tube running from north to south.  Any higher than 100,000 ft and the tube begins to show up, ruining the realism.

If only we could fly that high . . .

Ender Baron,

Thanks for the clarification, but where I am from 100K would signify 100,000. As I am not at all good with the metric system im sorry if I inadvertantly used an abbreviation linked in some way to that screwed up system.
Didn't mean to confuse things,
Kevin

I see!  100K meaning 100,000 ft instead of 100,000 kilometers.

I am also from the part of the world that has yet to accept the (logical) metric system. Wink

OK - so how does BOTA fly to the moon on the last leg? Unless the 'moon' is a scenery area in Siberia, or somewhere like that.

Which means crossing the north pole and moreover travelling around the world following course 360 is absolutely out of question right? What would happen if reaching as north as the end of the tube? Has anyone tried this?

On the other hand I think flights above north (and south) pole are not allowed in real life anyway. Does this hold true? Do you know why? I mean although a compass will not work an airplane with GPS would have no problem to fly there.

I have (on one occasion) placed myself at the north pole and found that the scenery does strange things. Wink  Try it, its kinda strange.

And so began my trek around the world.  But instead of flying around it laterally, I'm starting in Texas and heading south.  I plan to end up back where I started, after traversing the globe vertically.  I think its gonna be fun . . .
