Howdy and  ??? help
Can anyone (Hagar  Wink ) tell me just how hard it is to use Takura Murakomi's BGL disassembler? I want to edit a bgl of mine.I know you can add graghic effects to a bgl so that the bgl is stand alone and needs no texture file to go with it. Is that the tool I need, and if it is,why won't the exe run? I see the screen for a momnet then poof !! It's gone!! Hmm.........any ideas anyone ???
Or better yet, someone save me from myself  Roll Eyes for trying yet another building project and tell me just go fly instead. LOL  Smiley Cheesy Grin

Hi Dave. I'm no expert at manually editing files & forget most of what I knew about it. I think the utility you mention is a simple DOS application with no Windows interface. Double-clicking the EXE in the usual way will not do anything & you would obviously need a basic knowledge of DOS to use it. I'm not sure what you wish to do but I find that creating a new BGL with FSSC or Airport is generally a much easier & more satisfactory method.

Sad Thanks for the reply Hagar. The bgl disasembler did a number on all my bgls, made them looks like note pad.I had to back up my registry a few days just to get things back to normal LOL. That program is history! What I did discover that  api macros can be edited if you know hex code, which I don't. What I am trying to do is take the USS Hancock carrier and remove the angled deck from it.But I don't know how.I want a more era correct straight deck look. I need to use the Hancock because it has a hard deck, has the WWII look and can move it easlily by changing co-ords.We're going to use it in the North Afrika Campaign starting in January.So......I either need a quick lesson in scasm codes or I need a Hancock api macro without the angled deck and one I don't have to use clear.apis for the deck. Roll Eyes   Any ideas sir ??????            Grin Grin
