I have all 3 CFS's loaded, and love CFS2 but it has given me more trouble than even 3 has.
My game starts out with great fps( 200+) , online... then dips to unplayable levels ( 6 ). Offline, it runs fine, dips & peaks alot, but never under 120.
I recently reformatted  to try to resolve it, but it still does it , but only online.  I am on cable, and have all the best tweaks installed. My CFS3 gives me 40-60+ fps , for  great play and doesnt matter if I play for 3 hours,  but -2   drops off  inside 15 minutes ??  then launch a new game and the same starts again in the same timeframe.
Any Ideas ??? I run W XP pro . I have tried to run it in compatitability mode, and every variant I can think of.

I've had this issue, sadly, the only way I can get CFS2 to play happily on-line is to run it under Win98 (Which is on my dual boot setup....) Ironically, CFS3 seems happier with XP on or off line!

Hi Shep,

Have you inadvertently checked the "auto-performance adjustment" in the settings menu?

Having this function enabled can cause frame rates to fluctuate. Sometimes drastically, depending on scenery, other planes in your view, cloud density, & other graphic demands.

This may be totally unrelated but LO:MAC is having problems multiplaying for people with nForce motherboards. The boards are fine for everything except multiplaying. LO:MAC is working on a fix but maybe it should be something that nForce look at as well.

And make sure you don't have a program running in the background sucking up all your memory resources and not releasing them. If you don't aleady use it, try EndItAll2 to easily close unnecessary programs and processess running in the background.

Good luck.
