Poor old GreG has been studying v.hard lately, so I decided to fly down to Zimbabwe (it'll always be Rhodesia to me) and drag him out for a celebratory beer for passing his exams...... So time to check the tyre pressures on my dear old Waco.....
Racing out of Harare before my plane is seized!
I still think this is one of the best VCs ever made!
Just cruisin' to find GreG and a decent looking pub....
For those of you who wondered what my belly looks like (not bad considering the beer and chocolate!)
Been up a long time, I didn't have that moustache when I took off!
Lovely 3 pointer with a tiny puff of smoke
Shutdown, and thinking about the pub and some serious beta with GreG
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Really good pictures, VCs a bit to dark on my pc to make much out, but glad to take your word. I flew in a Waco abut 5 year ago at the Muskogee air show. All the noise, and the constant wind pounding you, man it was great. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

P.S. You look good in a mustache.

Is that Dave Eckerts Stearman? How does it do in FS9? I would like to re-download it... but, not knowing how is does... I don't want to waste the time.
P.S. Is that FS9 you are running?

Well, I think you just flew over my house!
Too bad, there are no decent pubs here. And a good old beer now costs me............ Zim$5000!!!! Which is frightening considering that, soon, we won't be able to afford to get drunk anymore!
But will never change to the bloody local stuff! It'd kill me after just a few! Be nice if the Harare Main Airport could look a little more like the real thing, like for instance, the terrific new terminal around the side of the old one. But this is only Zimbabwe, to M$, just another African country! Well, at least the runways and taxiways and some of the buildings are in the right places, that includes Charles Prince Airport, my training grounds!
And by the way, I definately had a nice cold beer when I was accepted into the last year of high school!
Cheers,
Greg
