Finally my new lady has arrived. After perusing newspapers, aircraft magazines, and online aircraft sales and auctions, I happened upon a dream aircraft.  OK So she isn't new, but is to me.

Not sure where she was initially stationed, but of all places she was resting peacefully in the northern reaches of Alaska, at a BFU airstrip called Brooks, in the town of Coldfoot. I flew with a friend who knows the inside and out of piloting a Citation, from St. Louis, Missouri to Fairbanks, then chartered a Piper Cheyenne with Alaskan Air Charters

At any rate I arrived, inspected the new lady, had a good night sleep thanks to a rustling fire in the fire place (it was a whopping -30 degrees F), and awoke at the crack of dawn.

A couple of site hands helped load up the Citation while I chatted with another local about her Cessina prop

...

Once we were loaded up we began our taxi to the runway. I must admit, the pavement here leaves a little to be desired. And I thought St. louis highways had a lot of bumps

...

Because of the short runway, we had to full throttle her to clear the trees, and the mountains that lay ahead. It was so cold we had small contrails even before we left the pavement

...

What I thought would be a wet ride cleared up quite a bit, however I wonder what anyone would like about the extreme cold temperatures in this formidable yet beautiful land

...

...

Headed upwards, out of the clouds and into the great blue above

...

Finally reaching our crusing altitude of 25,000 feet for a long trip aboard SavasAir One. Just need to freshen her up a bit with a nice paint job

...

Comments always welcome
