OK, as many of you know I'm a huge football fan.  But, I was wondering which team do the rest of the fans around here think is the best ever.

Personally, I think the 1985 Chicago Bears-they went 15-1 and dominated everyone.  The one game they lost was a close one and it stunned the country.  They went on to win the Super Bowl by a then record 36 points.  Then again, my opinions may be clouded since I had a relative playing on the team-but I truly believe they're the best.

`72 Dolphins.  17-0.

If that moron Garo Yepremian hadn't tried to throw a pass which was intercepted and run back 90 yards it would have been the only Super Bowl shutout in history.

And didn't the `85 Bears lose to the Dolphins?

Yeah, they lost to the Dolphins in Miami on Monday Night.  The defending AFC champs (Dolphins) beat them 38-24.

And it's true about the shutout-had Garo Yepremian not done that the skin's wouldn't have scored.  But, you got to admit, that was a pretty cool play.

For all you 1972 Dolphins fans-I have a trivia question for you: Do you know what QB guided them through the majority of their undefeated season?

I know but I won't spoil it.  Hint:  It wasn't Bob Griese.

Yeah, it was 17 year veteran QB Earl Morrall who was their QB for most of the regular season because of Griese's injury.
