Which Drivers? (Read 293 times)

Ok folks,
The video card i'm using is an Asus V9560TD 128Mb (nVIDIA FX5600 chipset). The drivers that came on CD are already out of date. I seem to have aquired a whole bunch of nVIDIA and 3rd party drivers and am in a bit of a muddle.  Can anyone tell me which is the most up-to-date and/or best driver set for this card?
Ta a lot
Phil

.... I would think the latest official driver would be the best .... 52.16 from nvidia .... although I believe there is a beta 53.03 out on guru3d and my mate reconned it has improved his fps in heavy cloud ..... hope this helps but I can't comment on your particular card.

AMD XP2000+ : Gigabyte GA-7VA 8xAGP : Asus 9600XT 128MB (Omega _2496c driver) : 512 MB RAM : 80 Gig Seagate 7200 : XP Pro

53.03 is the latest version. Suggest trying them and comparing them with the drivers supplied with the card.
I have just bought a XFX card with nvidia FX5600 chipset and had lots of problems with CFS2, CFS3 and FS9 crashing but think that I have traced it to a setting in the BIOS. Enabling AGP fast write seems to have done the trick. Have heard that this can be a problem with VIA BIOS drivers but no very little about BIOS settings.
Good luck with your card.

I agree entirely with the VIA BIOS issues, I had a nightmare with my Asus 9560.

I've found the latest XP only detonator drivers do not work with many of my games,  don't go upgrading too soon.

I've found the 45.23's to be fast & stable with no problems with either FS or Battlefield 1942 & GTA Vice City runs superbly with these drivers. (Under Win 98  )

I'm now off to Nvidia's site to see if these new (there always "new" arn't they?)  FX drivers work........
