This is  a Handley Page type 42, this is the description in the FS AC chooser:
"The plane that launched Boeing on the way to many years of dominance in the commercial airliner market.  Based on the airframe of the B29 bomber, it was roomy and luxurious, at a time when only the rich could afford to fly.  It could fly higher and faster than any other airliner of the period."

I tried it on a little flight from the Airport just along from Interlaken, It took years!!!!

The thing that gets me is these stats :
Max speed: 375 mph\nCruising speed: 340 mph\
nRange: 4588 mi.\nEmpty weight: 83,756\nLoaded weight: 147,693\nPassengers: 50 to 81

Im pretty sure it wouldn't do 370mph!!!

A nice plane if you like to go slow!!

Bird man. I think you're a tad mixed up. The HP.42 was a British airliner that served with Imperial Airways in the 1930s. It had a cruising speed of 95 - 105 mph.

The Boeing aircraft you're referring to is the B 377 Stratocruiser, developed from the B-29 Superfortress. It was first used by PanAm in 1949. Quite a difference. Wink

This was a quote from the Aircraft.CFG, I thought 350mph was a little bit of an overestimation!!! So this means the person who designed the aircraft made the wrong one!! Shocked Thanks for that Hagar, I shall do some research
