Ok--in accordance with the Request Guidelines, I have searched Sim(a)viation and other sites for a good Westland Lysander utility aircraft that may funtcion in CFS2--but with little luck. I've found several good panels, and Clay Wheeler's FS2000 Westland Lysander MkIII, but I'm not sure if that one would work with CFS2--I'll probably download it and try, regardless. Aside from that fact, however, I would be greatful if another potential downloadable Lysander could be located and mentioned to me.

I had a good one for CFS1, and it looked great, but I guess I lost it and a search for it on Sim(a)viation, where I originally downloaded it, turned up nothing. I'll try that search again, but in the mean time--please, folks, tell me if you know where one is; I'd like to have one, to complete a small collection of ST/L Utility/Recon/Transport aircraft I'm building up, which I might later upload, with permission from the original authors.

Also, if you know of any other notable aircraft that fit my above criteria, please let me know.

Thanks, all, ahead of time.

Alright, I'll supply Lysander information if someone'll compile it and build something, folks.

Pictures, specifications, and the history of this fairly notable aircraft(Please, visit each site and scan through each section that pertains to the Lysanders--this way, you'll find all the information available on these sites, and I won't have to post a 'Massive' telling you every little thing);

http://www.fleetairarmarchive.net/Aircraft/Preserved/lysander.htm ( Thjs link features expanded information about the Lysander, if you'll check the link-boxes/buttons at the bottom of it's page.)
http://www.warbirdalley.com/lysander.htm
http://www.64-baker-street.org/transport/transport_lysander.html (This one, I wouldn't believe too much, nor use very much, except for the agent information, such as the additional mounted fuel tank and ladder...)
http://www.unrealaircraft.com/hy_lysander.php (Alright, folks--whoever decides to make the Lysander MkI, II, or II, PLEASE make this night-fighter version from this site, too! I Will Pay A Small Amount For Exceptionally Good Models Of Both!)
http://www.russian.ee/~star/air/england/west_lysander.html (This page features some good pictures for weapon loadout capability and weapons positions. Note the full-color picture of the Lysander at top--do you see 'holes' above the wheel and landing light placements? Theres the two forward-firing MGs. And on in rear, like on a Fi-156 or other similar aircraft. And on the three-view picture further down, you can see the removable 'strut-racks' for bombs, rockets, or other loads, such as supplies. Also, the forward-firing MG barrel-holes/exits can be seen on the three-view, above the lights and wheels.)
http://www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/AARG/lysander.html (Very good site for information.)

That should be plenty of information sites, I hope... To find all these sites manually, I searched on Google by entering this keyword combination; "Westland Lysander."

   Ace,
Have you tried Flightsim?  They usually have planes
   that can't be found elsewhere.

I've looked everywhere--under stones, behind hidden links, clicked every picture, every URL imaginable... If theres a place to search, where I might possibly find that which I seek, I've probably looked there. Heh. To no avail, as of yet. Am, and will continue to, still search, despite those facts.

Have you tried adding fs2002 or cfs to your search?

I think there might be a download here at Simv that tells how to get 2k2 models to run in cfs2 as well.

I find plenty of FS2002 Lysanders, but I've never had much luck with the .mdl or other converters, so I haven't bothered with those craft lately. I might try it later. I find a Lysander or two right here, on this site, and another at FlightSim.Com, and yet another at planesimulation...

Oh, how I despise having to sign up for stuff... Its not the signing and stuff that I hate--but the waiting.

<Site Advertiser>"Sign here and join, to skip the 'lines' and not wait to get hold of all the best stuff, fast!"  Cheesy
<New Member>"Why are you waiting in line?"  ???
<Old Member>"I joined the membership..."  Angry

Anyhow, I had a good one for CFS1 a few years ago that I had gotten from this site--then my computer crashed and I lost it--and now I can't find the pack I got that Lysander in.

Ted Simko made a Lysander for fs2002, I think it's available at http://www.fs2000.org/

Run a search for 'Ted Simko'

It can be converted using the FS 2002 to CFS 2 Conversion Tutorial.

Stratobat

Sweet.

Snatching all the Lysander downloads I can find, now--CFS1, Fs2002, or otherwise. I'll try an' convert'em all, once I get'em transferred to my gaming machine.

Not on it at the moment--it doesn't currently have a 'net connection.

Hm. While I'm on this topic, I guess I'll pray that burning downloaded planes to CD-RW isn't illegal.  Lips Sealed

Check the ReadMe in each file for the authors copyrights. Some don't care what you do others are very specific.
