Well the challenge was out there, so I kicked HawkerTempest5s favourite kite into touch. The dear old MkXIV, and then I wanted to see how far up I could go... And yes I did have a deadstick landing
So the new record 42979.7 feet

PS, got a PR MkXIX over 650 kts last night, but it kept going down into the sea! Bugger.
