It`s one of my favorates also.

There are three of the new aircraft that I hope MS will carry over to the next installment of FS.
The J3 Cub, the D-C3, and of course, the DH-88 Comet.

There is something about the commet`s "art deco",  built for speed styling that is very apealing. Smiley

Lovely aeroplane....

Got my University graduation this week. Staying in the Comet hotel (an art deco building if there ever was one) in Hatfield, named after the beautiful plane itself...

Shame they dug up the airfield next door.

my favourit also. Sounds cool too. Ground handling is a pain though, sometimes it starts spinning like mad without any obvious reason. Are you having that problem too?

I believe it`s safe to say that everyone has that problem.

It`s one thing to have skittish ground handeling but, the Commet`s ground handling seems to be a slave to a set of physics that is unknown......at least in this universe! Wink
Yeah you`re right.  It seems to start spinning for no apparent reason.

It`s a shame as it actually flies quite well.

Perhaps someone who knows how can fix it?

I'd love to see the real G-ACSS fly (is airworthy btw at the Shuttleworth collection).
In all seriousness i don't have a problem with the Comet's Ground Handling, it is a typical De Havilland & a typical taildragger.
In saying that, a taildragger you do have to anticipate the swing (it is a lot harder on the PC to anticipate than it is in reality) and react to it before it happens! This is where a rudder enabled joystick really comes in handy with FS.

... you have to be feeling it gently and just nurse the controls ..... I've never had a take of crash, remember to treat her like a lady! ..... she's not a toy  Shocked ..... I believe black magic was at the airfield where I worked in the early eighties ..... not flying, .... I do remember looking over the engines in a workshop but don't really recall the aircraft or what hanger it was in .... never mind  Wink
