What version of PhotoShop are you in love with?
Just one comment,
Would love to see alittle "thrust" coming off those engines. They would definitely be pushing that bird's nose up at this point in the landing. You can use the "blur tool". Don't over do it though or it starts to look too much!!
Let's see some more!!

Mmm, good remark, I completely forgot that, didn't I?
Next time. However, I tried to use the orange/brown exhaust smoke, in the jpg-file it drops away against the background.
Currently I use Photoshop 7.0.1, I am waiting to see if the new CS version is worth getting legally. If it doesn't add much functionality, but offers more like 'flash'-editors that I can get also w. freeware, I am not sure I am willing to pay.

Hey JW, hope you don't mind, I added some "thrust" effect. What do you think?

Mmmh, blurring and smudging, right?
It looks better, but it is quite hard to do it with the blurred background in my pic. You managed well.
Although we use blurring for the jet exhaust, some pics actually show very fine texture, just the background is blurred.
Have a look...
Hard to do it properly.

I am completely stunned by the fine definition between normal and reheated air. You can almost touch it. Also, look at the intricate texture of the exhausts.

I totally agree, I was noticing that while reading you post!! You sure could cook alot of chicken behind that big bird!! Some BBQ that would be!
That picture is taken at New York's JFK, correct?

Yeah, it would have made a nice edit if it were true! LOL
Sorry, I can't take the credits for this one, just putting it up here may be a breach of copyright. Shhh!
And I like BBQ's!
(reminds me of the ad on TV, 2-3 years ago, the guy grilling his hamburger at the exhaust of a F-14 aboard a carrier.)
