I have been in love with this plane for decades, you see when I was but a lad, my Dad, (a former USAAF bomber pilot) had many pilot friends, one of which was a Brit, named Frank Parker. Mr. Parker flew the P51B with the spit style canopy or hood. I have found a 1% aircraft that fits the bill, with just a few exceptions, the landing gear dosen't show, the flaps don't show, the hood won't roll back, the lights don't work, and the sound is ify. I was wondering if there is either a fix, or if there is a Gmax, or some other version that will work in FS2K4. I have tried some of the P-51B versions here, and elsewhere, but they have the same gear and flap problems. Your help would really be appreciated.

Hi Fido. This sounds like a typical early CFS2 aircraft - an FSDS1 design animated with AA which will be incompatible with FS2004. Sorry I don't know of an updated or new example offhand but then, I no longer keep up with the latest developments as I used to.

I know there is a gmax D model under development at the moment, but I've heard nothing of a B model.

Sorry

Thanks guys, I'll just have to keep looking. Ozzy I know how much you love Spits and so do I but, the P51B with a Spit style canopy really does look good.  She looks like a Spit with laminar flow wings, especially if she's in RAF livery. I think she looks much nicer than the "D" model.

       Thanks anyway     Fido

Fido I'll keep my ear to the ground (I'm heavily involved with warbird work at the moment), and if I hear anything, you'll be the first to know Wink
