I recently watched this movie  I am posting the schedule  so maybe others can watch and tell me what the aircraft used is  I think it is an interesting design  and would like to find it and add it to my growing airline

Granted the book  refers to a DC-4  but the movie showed a twin engine jet  that sorta resembled a DC-9 or maybe a Fokker 100  but the engine pods sat lower on the tail section  and it had a sorta spire on the nose cone
