Plus what can the mafia do? Their pistols and rifles are no match for 18" thick armor!

Actually a snow speeder can only reach 621kph! My Missiles go over 1,000kph, the lasers move at the speed of light, The AC5s have a muzzele velocity of 1,359fps and I'm a much better gunner than the ones in the AT-ATs!
Plus Ion cannons do not work on faraday sheilded electronics like the ones in 'Mechs.

BOOM! look at that recoil!

Crash!
What Can I say? I refuse to lose!
That's what my other weapon is for.
SPHA-T Walker. Self Propelled Heavy Artillery Turbolaser Walker. One heavy planetary turbolaser capable of taking out starships on orbit. 12 heavy antipersonell blasters for everything else.
I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday.

Well then I'll fit my 'mechs witha thing we battletech addicts call "Reflective plates" so Now I have reflective armor on my mech and with a few well placed blasts I will destroy your ponderous SPHA-T and also your antipersonal blasters are incapable of taking out my smaller, lighter and faster mechs such as my NOVA CAT (weighs 70tonnes) which is armed with 4 ER-PPCs and 1 medium laser.

Fool, reflective plates won't work. Light is only a biproduct of turbolasers. Lasers in Star Wars are actually high energy compressed Tabanna or other gases. They pass through an energizer and a lense that compresses the gas into a deadly bolt of matter and energy. Sort of like a high tech bullet but much more powerful.

Do it Pippin. Ya know you want to. Pull the trigger. Splatter that cat's furry little brains all over the wall. Do it, do it, do it now!

They do in battletech!
I also have planetry lasers they are rated at 23megawatts! enough to shoot clear through the moon!
Now my fleet of nova cats moves in. (in battletech a fleet is 100 'mechs! Far to many to be defeated by a few lasers! now I will spatter anyone who threatens another cat! and I'm not blowing smoke up your butt!

BTW lasers are light! not high tech bullets
! are you weak in the mind??? And I've already blown the legs off of your walkers. PPCs are Particle Projection Cannons they project microscopic particles at 135,000 miles/sec which creates a "blue bolt" of energy that passes right armour! and instantly destroys electronics.

I think George can explain it better than I can.
Quote:
A squeeze of a trigger emits volatile blaster gas into a conversion chamber, where it is excited by energy from the weapon's power source. The agitated gas is then funneled through the actuating blaster module, where it is processed into an intense particle beam. A prismatic crystal focuses the beam, and passes it through a refinement chamber which "galvens" the beam into its final bolt.

Oh my word! A big slobbery butt-licking dog? We can't have that! I hearby recall my assassins.
In repentance I humbly offer Mr. Wavy a bit to eat...
and a bodyguard for life...
Go Mr. Wavy and be well. May your lives be long and full of catnip...
