Hello,
Does anyone know of a website or anyplace that I can achieve REAL flight plans like ones a commercial pilot would use for the United States.
Thank you

Try doing a Google search for flight plans

Thought I'd do a quick search on Google as I suggested and I did find a lot of stuff - inc 'real' flightplans - but very little free
What I did come across though was a site with lots of video on at
http://digilander.libero.it/Migliola/P_Migliola.htm
I found 3 clips that I joined using the software that comes with Windows XP covering a complete approach and landing in a Cathay 747 on the 13 IGS at Kai Tak (weird - recognised cockpit views that I've only seen before landing on my scenery!)
There's also a lot of stuff at Kennedy, Malpensa and various other places. Worth a look if you're into that kinda stuff
Sorry - forgot the reason for the post - there are also loads of free flightplans there that you can download and save!

In the US, the flight plan format is the same for a Continental 777 Captain, as it is for a Cub pilot. As far as "routing", preferred routes are on the sight that Ozzy listed. The only difference being, most General Aviation pilots won't fly high enough to use Jet routes. The layout us nearly identical though. If you want to fly the airways that the airlines fly, get a hold of a High Altitude IFR chart, and download a route from fltplan.com.
.....so I loaded up the plane and moved to Middle-EEEE..........OIL..that is......

Over at
www.avsim.com
there are a few people in the "flight plan" forum that provide valuable information. You can request specific flights flown by specific airlines, and they usually have the answer. Be generous though. Instead of bombarding them with overwhelming requests, maybe you could ask how and where they obtain the information. Anyway, that forum has been very useful and I have many SWA flight plans thanks to all the help in that forum.
