Just some pics of the new-ish FS2k4 Alaska DC-54 Cargo. I had to do some serious editing to keep under the 500k post size limit! They don't look too bad though.
Get those props spinning.
After pushback
Busy day at Gatwick!
Nearly lined up...
Smoking tyres
Nose up 8)
Into the blue
Oooh look, a runway
Touchdown
Parked in General Aviation. If you look closely you can see the cargo door open at the back.
Sorry about that, ATC, forgot to request landing permission. Stuff that Cessna Skylane.
Enjoy! Comments welcome.

Nice shots.
I've been using that plane in FS2002 and I'm not sure about the rather surreal shine it's got. Something not quite right and a bit weird about it.
Hope someone gets round to doing some replacement textures for it soon - some 'big name' liveries. Not sure you'd have seen many Alaska Airways or whatever it 's called at Gatwick. In fact not sure you'd have seen many outside Alaska!
BTW - did you notice the flag back-to-front on the tailfin- bit irritating ???

of course it's busy at Gatwick...therefore it's called the busiest single runway airport in the world!
nice shots!

Something else about FS2004 - ATC labels show when on the ground which I don't like so much compared to FS2002. I use them mainly for spotting 'traffic' while flying and when I'm doing AI stuff (so I can see when a plane is approaching) but they rather spoil the effect when you see every plane on the ground with a label!

No, I hadn't noticed. I migh get round to doing a repaint of this thing soon. Any ideas for liveries? I agree the shine is a bit weird.
BTW, the only aircraft that have ATC labels on the ground are ones that are moving. Parked planes dont' have any. That is how my version of FS2k4 behaves anyway.
Thanks for all the comments guys - hope I can get a repaint done soon! 8)

I concur totally ???.....did that guys GPS go wonky on him ?.....
.......Alaskan Airlines out of Gatwick ?......how weird is that ?
....other than the flag issue, great shots....flag isn't the responsibility of the pilot anyway ....... 8)

Shhhh
Don't tell a soul - over at California Classics you can see all the old liveries.
This plane is gonna have stacks of repaints because all the old DC4 models have the old style 'angular' fuselages and engine nacelles. This one has exactly the right shape.
I can't wait

Righto. I'll have a look. I'm on half term at the moment so I should get a little spare time. Hopefully.
Thanks
