Could it be to do with any of the settings on the actual computer. Maybe some hacked has put sime kind of batch file that will automaticlly shut down the laptop after a set number of minutes / hours? Is it a ventilation problem? Are the fans broken?

check two things, firstly your battery, make sure its fully charged with pleanty of life.
then check your your adaptors connection lead, the part which goes into your laptop, and check its in good condition, i had the same problems and found it was my connection lead the plastic bit in the middle which makes sure its held in place perfectly. make sure the plastic hasnt been melted away, and also see what your fully charged battery life is,. i found mine is now 0mins which means new battery.
check these things firstly

Try downloading a driver for your card. My FA was shutting down my PC and restarting it without the new NVIDIA drivers....if not that I don't know

I run Windows '98.... Grin...!

Right click the mouse on the desktop....
Got to Properties> Screen Saver> Settings>
Make sure that the "Shut-down, Standby/Monitor/Hard Disks" settings are set to "NEVER".

Cheers.... Grin...!

I'm going with Craig on this one. Just because the battery CHARGES to 100%, doesn't mean that it's good. I had a similar problem on my laptop, shutdown with NO warning, and it was the battery.
