If you are living in Miami, Florida right now, then you already know how nuts everyone is here in Miami. Grin

I could not believe it. I have never seen Josh Beckett (Marlins' pitcher) pitch for 9 straight innings. Cheesy Shocked Cheesy He is not the only hero. Luiz Castillo is the sleeping giant that finally woke up. I give them a good salute for their great efforts. I also want to thank the rest of the Marlins players for their incredible effort to remain undefeated. I also congradulate Jack McKeon (Marlins' Manager) for his decisive and gutsy moves that payed off big time. Cheesy

This game is extremely great (even "great" is an understatement), not ONLY because this is the 100th Anniversary of the World Series, but this is also the first time that these TWO undefeated teams have finally faced each other with high stakes. Not only that, only one of these 2 undefeated teams can emerge as victorious in the 2003 World Series.

Florida Marlins, I salute you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for you Yankees Fans, I pity you. It has been a great game. But don't worry, because there is always another World Series. And chances are, the fish and the yanks might face each other once again in the future.

Feel free to express you're opinions here. As for you Yankee fans, you can feel free to post you opinions here as well. Just don't forget to ask for tissue paper before you post. Grin Tongue

I thank:

Jack Mckeon for his decisive moves and tactics that lead to this victory.
Luiz Castillo for finally waking up on time to bring us that victory.
Josh Beckett for his incredible pitches.
Cabrera for becoming more than just a rookie. But I can't think of a better name than rookie. LOL
Ivan Rodriguez for his incredible skill as a catcher on the previous games (which lead us here).
Mike Lowell for his batting abilities.
Juan Pierre for his reputation as a base-stealer with quick feet.
Penny
Willis
Alex Rodriguez (also the hero on Game 5)

And all the others that made a difference that also lead to their greatest victory.

I also thank all the other Marlins fans out there that supported this great team all the way through. Keep the spirit high, my friends.

Last night, while everyone was beeping their @5535 off here in Miami (including me. hehe), I saw this guy holding one of those Marlins flags. At the same time, he was sitting on the door (where the window is) while his friend is driving the SUV. He had his whole upper-body sticking out the window.

But that's not all. While he was doing that (at an intersection), there was a Squad car right there one the other part of the intersection. The officer saw the guy. But amazingly enough, the officer didn't do anything. No sirens, no following, he didn't even use his loud speaker.

I guess the officer didn't want to arrest anybody. Especially while everyone was celebrating the Marlins' rise to glory. Grin

There was once this kid doing the same thing. Except this time, he was STANDING on the door while he was waving a t-shirt of the Marlins. I was wondering, how the hell can that kid stadn like that while the car is moving. He looked as if he has done this thousands of times. In fact, he didn't look afraid of what the hel he was doing. The kid looked like he was 16.

Well, what can do to stop these people? NOTHING!!! This is typical of Miami. Everyone doing insane things to show support for the team. So, what else did you expect? LOL Grin

I don't know what 'rise to glory' there is.  They already won the thing back in '97.  I lived about 5 miles from the stadium then and nobody cared then...
