) that at 480kts (groundspeed) you'll travel roughly 247 meters in 1 second, that's around 500 meters in 2 seconds so your theory about going 1nm in 2 seconds doesn't hold really. Yes 1nm in 2 seconds is crazy
Now, 1 nm is 1.8520 kilometers, which of course is 1852 meters.
How many seconds does it take to fly 1nm at 480kts?
1852/247= ca 7,5 seconds
