I should have posted this when the Game 1 of the World Series began. But, oh well. Tongue

For those who do not know:

This the 100th Anniversary of the World Series. It began somewhere in 1903. I guess this was before the Wright Brothers.

Not only that, this is also the first time that Marlins and the Yankees are playing against each other. I heard that this is also the first time that the Marlins are playing in the Yankee Stadium in Bronx, New York.

Collectables:

For those of you people who are so anxious to get your hands on a 2003 World Series T-shirt, get them FAST and take good care of them. Right now, they are running out. If you live in Miami, and live somewhere in the Kendall area and close to 137th Ave and Tamiami Trial (if I got it correctly). Go to where Publix is located (NOT the one in Miller Dr. The one that is more North).

There is a small shop between Publix and Supercuts. You should see it (they have the T-shirts in open display). I hope I got the directions correctly. If not, correct me. This is for those who live close to this area.

The Game:

Did you guys see Game 3? It was good (not the best, but good). If you saw the game, they you should have seen what happened to Ivan Rodrigez (Marlins Catcher). He was on 3rd base. When the Marlins Batter hit the ball, it made a foul. However, at the same time, that ball ALMOST hit Ivan on the head. He managed to dodge that ball as if he was in the Matrix. LOL Grin

Too bad we lost Game 3. But remember, the Yanks may have won this battle, but the war is not over. Once the Yanks win Game 4 (if they do) tonight (tonight at 8PM ET), the Marlins will be in a very good position to retaliate in full force. You people saw what happened to the Chicago Cubs. After what I saw, I'm no longer afraid of those Yankees.

For those of you Yankees fans who are now eating fish (especially the Marlin), I suggest you be carefull. Otherwise, you'll choke on a tiny fishbone. LOL

Go Yankees

Only 'cos the Marlins beat the Cubs.

Can anyone tell me why it is the World Series when only US teams can play?

I think a lot more people would be interested if the Cubs would have made it, I haven't watched any of the series games, who cares about the Yankees playing in another world series.
No offense to you Yankees fans.

I honestly don't like either team.  I'm rooting for the Yankee's because I want to see Clemen's get a ring in his final season since he is one of my favorite players.

I still remember when Toronto won the Series. Of course it's now known for it's crappy sports teams, except for the Argos, but only Canadians would know who they are.

There are also 2 Canadian teams is one thing.  Also, it seems like MLB brings the best players from all over the world (US, Japan, South America, ect).  Only a few countries have baseball and the best players are playing in America and Canada because of the money.  Therefore, the winner of the series can be called the world champion because MLB has the best players I guess.

Very good point.

For example:

If you noticed, almost all of the players are hispanic. Right now, all I know is that Gonzolez and Cabrera are from Venezuela. I'm still trying to figure out which country are the rest of the Marlins players from.

Did you know:

Cabrera (20 years old) is the youngest player to ever be in the World series.

Clemins is 41 years old and has ended his career last night in Game 4. If you noticed, every camera was capturing every one of Clemins' pitches. The stadium was like a giant disco-ball. It glittered like hell. LOL

The Game:

I was completely relieved as I saw Alex Gonzolez (Marlins) hit that last homer at the very corner of left field.

I like the way how they started the news when they showed that Star Wars-like introduction. Grin

"In a ballpark far, far away, the Marlins won Game 1"

"In Games 2 and 3, the Empire Strikes back!"

(I forgot what the third intro said)

4th Intro: "May the force be with us."

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!
