I'm not sure which are better - the photos (great) or the captions (fun to read).
A note on the Skyraider - those aren't dummy torpedos, I believe they are basic "iron" bombs.

Hey I was there that day! I go to the California International Airshow every year since it's pretty much the only "big" airshow in the area. I was very disappointed that the Blue Angels were not there this year. I was not very impressed with the Thunderbirds, especially since they didn't even take off at the airshow (the Blue Angels usually do their spectacular take-off routine at this airshow), and only performed with 5 planes (which I assume was because one crashed in September). I dunno, I'm just more of a Blue Angels fan but at least I got to see them the previous week at Fleet Week in San Francisco.
Anyway, it was pretty cool seeing Wayne Handley's "last" airshow. I always love watching him. Glad to see him make a recovery after that terrible crash 4 years ago at that very airshow. And one more thing LOL. I arrived at the show as that biplane was performing. I kept looking around for a jet stuntin around with him somewhere but I could not find one. Then I realized that distinct jet sound was indeed coming from the biplane. Man thats some funny sh** to see and hear!
