Second post here, hope this gets some response.
I'm trying to add a HUD to and aircraft using CfgEdit.
No matter what background color or bmp I use the gauge shows up transparent (IE; it's invisible and you cannot see it). I've tried searching the web for some tutorials on panel editing, but can't seem to find any.
If anyone can suggest a good site I can get info or tips on how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Adance..., again.

Barnstormer,
Welcome to SimV.

If you look in the FS2002 jets downloads section, there is a fictional C4-SST personal supersonic transport which has two HUDs, one in white for night flying and one black for day flights, which have transparent backgrounds. You could transplant these gauges into the panel that you are building.
