I spent a few (virtual) days up in vernon, northern british columbia.
I just wanted to relax,go fishing, canoeing,or something else, but the day before i left,i met a few tourists and their guide who had a serious problem: they wanted to make a canoe-trip on a certain river up there and planned to go there by airplane. but all of a sudden, their pilot got ill. when they told me about it,i asked ,if i could fly 'em ,because i had some experience with float planes.
after a short discussion with the owner of the otter, we took off from vernon to the requested destination.

in this pic, which i took from a canoe, the super otter sits calmly at the edge of the river. i had a few very nice hours avec those guys there (including some fried fish...).
...
when i decided to leave,i radioed the owner of the otter about what to do next. he said ,that he hadn't had no further assignments for me and that i could use the plane for the rest of the day...
i immediately decided to explore the landscape of british columbia a bit,and so i went northwards, following one of those big rivers.
...
thundering over a lake...awesome landscape!
...
the first snow-covered mountains in front of me.
...
pulling for a nice scenic shot of the otter and the mountain.
...
leaving the river and heading for a small airport located behind that mountains.
...
stay tuned for part two...

the saga continues! Grin

well,as i climbed up and up,it truly became quite cold...fortunately ,this otter has a quite good heating system.
...
taking a break and refuelling..."err....what no beer? this ain't true,is it?" Grin
...
after hours of aimless flying,i decided to head back to vernon.
...
this day was so beautiful....but exhausting, too. after finishing my job (reporting the owner about my flight,etc...),i just crawled into my bed and slept for a long time...i had to leave the next day, because i had to get back into my real occupation: cargo flying for TNT....
