I have a mustang that WILL NOT fly level under any circumstances. If I push the stick fully forward, it only stops turning up, and doesn't go down. My joystick is quite perfectly callibrated. Is there something in the aircraft.cfg I can edit to make it fly level dead stick? I want an accurate mustang, and I don't know if the real thing flies dead stick, but darn it, I KNOW no self respecting aircraft designer would let something like this slip, especially North American. So if anyone know how to fix it, please, feel free to respond..

Try lookin for where the centre of gravity is located. You can see a graphical representation of this in the fs2004 payload editor.

Generally, you want it to be about 1/4 of the chord. In other words, about 1/4 of the way back along the wings.

You can set the centre of gravity in the "aircraft.cfg" file.

It sounds as though it's too far back at the moment, so try increasing the number a bit (it's probably at 0 now, try 5)

Here is a copy of the section you're looking for.

[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]
max_gross_weight = 150000                      // (pounds)
empty_weight = 74170                           // (pounds)

reference_datum_position     =  0, 0, 0         // (feet) distance from FlightSim Reference position: (1/4 chord, centerline, waterline)
empty_weight_CG_position     =  5, 0, 0         // (feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from specified datum

I have made the section you need bold. Try making the first number (in my example, it's 5) a little larger until she flies level.
