... quite like early jets ... I remember an old black and white film with these in .... don't know its name but the plane has always stuck with me,
... the last one just looks good, the fs9 weather is so good
.... have just printed the last one out on the colour laser printer here at work .... its fantastic ..... I have kept the high res version this time, that should look even better !

Ah yes,........the infamous F9F Panther.........I think they used them in " The Bridges at Toko Ri " ?
Looked into it and found this...
Quote:
Air Group Five flew several different aircraft, most flown by four squadrons: the VF-51 (F9F Panthers), VF-53 (F4U Corsairs), VF-54 (AD Skyraiders), and VF-172 (F2H Banshees). The first three squadrons were capable of carrying a wide variety of ordnance (bombs, rockets, napalm, etcetera), and it was this select group that would carry out the attacks. Because of the differences in speeds and fuel consumption of the various aircraft, a great deal of planning was necessary to pull it off. A staggered launch schedule had to be established so the three aircraft types would arrive over the bridges at the same time to carry out the attack
...as part of this,... here
