Most likely what you have are 'classic' old FS98 panels. I have some great ones too.

Trouble is there are often little elements that are not compatible with later flightsims esp FS2002.

Could be little things like switches, even dummy ones, indicator lights and stuff like that.

If you use CFGEdit to take stuff out of the panel one at a time or in groups of say 5 or 6 at a time you can occasionally home in on the one(s) causing problems and replace them with similar items from other panels.

Sometimes as I've found you just can't. I'm afraid that a lot of old HGHB stuff causes the sort of problems you have found.

I had this problem with a few panels in FS2002 also. If you haven't got FSUIPC installed, go get it from the downloads. Apart from loads of other useful stuff, under the 'technical' tab, there is a checkbox for 'fix control acceleration' (under the 'apply everlasting rain fix' box). I checked this, and the speed and heading problems were fixed.
