Mornin' Mark.... Grin...!
..I would be interested to know what your frame rates were during the flight in that area...?
I have had to remove ALL of my LAGO airport scenery files after they reduced my frame rates from 20-30 FPS, (max settings), down to 0-3 FPS.... Cry...!

Hi Paul, well with everything maxed out (including dynamic scenery) I was sometimes dropping as low as 8fps. Roger has done an awesome job with this, and I hope he releases it soon, but you really do need a machine with a lot of horses to get really good performance over this scenery. I've only got a 1ghz PIII and it showed! Still, well worth it! I'll be taking Little Nellie for a spin there later Grin

Only just spotted these pics - blimey ole Mark can't keep a secret can he  Grin

Wonder if he's found the parked Herc yet.

There's still a lot to do folks as you can see from the pics but I'm just getting back into design mode so hope to get some more done soon

Roger

BTW Foz

I think your specs are getting a bit short on horses for the scenery and planes that are coming through now. I had a bit of a discussion with Tipster on this and one of the things he said impressed me.

I said that I wanted to make something that was an historically accurate record now that the airport has virtually all gone but I knew that the scenery would be hard on FR. He said don't worry, if the scenery is good people will want it and machine specs are getting better and better all the time. If the average machine can't run it now it will be able to in a few months time. He said after all, this could be the last full scenery done of the place because the more time passes the less designers will want to do new sceneries for it.

Wise words I think and as I mentioned in my notes to Mark, I'll be dedicating the scenery to him. He wanted to do what Mark is doing but in the end he didn't get the chance.

That's a great legacy to a great guy. You might want to put a memorial stone in there somewhere? Cry

Seriously, that's a good idea. I hadn't thought of that. I'll definitely include something along those lines before the scenery is issued.

Thanks for the idea

On the subject of John,

Maybe a static Baron 58 would be apropriate?

Come to think of it, why not a Baron doing some VFR around the area?

I think you dedicating the scenery to him is a great jesture Roger, I know the man himself was very excited about your project.
