Ever wonder what the infantry rifle of the future is going to look like?  How about one that shoots around corners?  Or times the rounds so they burst over your head instead of just being shot at you?  Man, this is an incredible rifle...

I saw a story on that gun on the History Channel's "Mail Call."  It almost looks like a toy gun.  Grin  It looks like the future of guns is going to be scary...

I saw a thing on that gun on the History Channel a while ago.  In the same show they showed a  gun that shot bullets electronicly, and could theorectly shoot a million rounds a minute... ???  It was something like that.  It was a BIG number.  I wouldn't quote myself on this, so...niether should you...

I tend to agree with that.  It does look too bulky for city fighting and such.  I sometimes wonder if our army is so obsesses with gadgets that we are forgetting the basics.  The days of two opposing forces meeting on a battlefield are long over.  Vietnam proved that superior weaponry don't mean jack.  The Ak-47 is the most popular assault rifle in the world for three reasons:  they're cheap, there are plenty of them, and they are a simple weapon.

The OICW is going to be the next assult rifle of the USA.

The AK47 is the worlds most popular weapon for two reasons and not the three that Pippin said. 1/ They are readily avaliable. 2/ They work no matter what you do to them. Wink
