I saw it at Sun 'n'Fun 2002 in Lakeland FL - too bad that FS doesn't support "mixed" engines...

The same way you can only have a maximum of four engines (of the same type).  It's programmed into the program.

So, you cannot have two props and two jets, or six props and four jets (B-36), or eight jets (B-52), jet and booster rocket (Mirage III) , etc.

well, if ms can program it into the game, surely some of the talented FS programers could figure it out.  or we'll have the evil people at ms do it in 2 years Tongue  Yes that should be one of the next steps for ms-being able to have different engines(ooh, then we could have JTOW's!)
hmm, there must be away around it, maybe attach 2 planes together, one be a shadow plane you dont see(just flight info,no textures)and the other be the one you see. ???ive now confused myself, so ill stop.

There are several things I'd like to see in a future version of Flight Simulator - mixed engine types, and more than four of each ...

*at this time*  what can be done is two models... take off in the "prop"WACO" and when ready to go to jet mode, pause, change "planes" and continue in the "jet"  which would have a smallish amount of fuel, etc., enough for a few minutes flight, before you have to change back...
