I am looking for a very agile, and quite fast jet for CFS1.

Believe me, I have downloaded almost ALL of the CFS1 modern aircraft. I have also got most of the FS98 military section.

No wonder it takes so long to load the planes drop-down menu.  Wink

Any suggestions welcome.

Jonathan

Have you tried either of the F-14's on this page, if I remember (I haven't played CFS1 in a long time) they are pretty fast and agile: http://www.simviation.com/cfs1mod2.htm

OK - I have had a fly in those two planes.

1) Yes, they are fast

2) They bank quickly

3) But they do not turn quickly.

This is the problem. I need a plane that turns quickly. Because this is how I fight. I use planes that are not necessarily faster, but they can out-turn the opposition. If anyone has CFS1 then I would like a jet that handles like the Sea Fury here:

http://www.simviation.com/cfs1aircraft5.htm

Thanks again, Jonathan

What I would do is try and modify the .air file yourself-thats the best way to customize handling.  Unfortunately, it is a little complicated and I am by no means an expert so I'd be affraid to give you advice.  So, what I would do is find an aircraft you like-then go to the design forum here and talk to them about changing the handling characteristics.  I'm sure they can walk you through it so you get a plane just how you want it.  It may take a few tries to make it handle just how you want-but it should be nice in the end.   Wink

GeForce,
Have you tried the Sea Harrier, she's not very fast but quite agile and with 2 30mm cannon well armed.

I am being very picky, but I like my planes perfect. This one is way too twitchy. I am learning how to modify .air files at the moment so I should be alright - I can customise the plane to what I want.

Thanks for all your help  Grin

Yes, I have thanks. I am pretty good at modifying .air files now, and the Raptor is my favourite plane (apart from the Sea Fury obviously Wink).

I'm pretty sure that's the one he has in his avatar and signature. Wink  An amazing aircraft, but a framerate murderer!

Definitely. I love the Sea Fury and have got all 4 variations of the plane. The one I have in my avatar is actually a photo of the RAN version. I have a fairly good PC so my framerates stil stay around to 10 mark near the ground, up to 15 as I get further away from it. Also I really am looking for a jet, I have the F-16 Viper Chase Plane in FS2004 but I am looking for a CFS1 version, or at least a jet that performs like it.

Thanks anyway,

Jonathan
